• Serve People
As outlined in the section below, we will need financial help to accomplish our desired plan for assisting our community, which is another reason we need you to stay faithful in your giving if you are still receiving a paycheck.
We cannot get people to the church… so we must get the church to the people.
We must GO since we cannot attract them to COME.
This is our moment! If we come out of this chaos and all we can say is that we made sure our church stayed healthy and was ministered to… we will have failed our church and our community.
We cannot fail our mission to the people of Los Angeles.
It’s become cliché to say, “Be the Church”. Well, now more than ever, we have to make those more than just words! This is our moment!
1. Shopping for the elderly. Paid ads have been running on Facebook since last week, offering the following:
• Individuals needing the service will contact us either by our email or messenger and give us their phone number.
• We will call them to get their order. Orders will be restricted to 6 items and necessities only (Food, water, toiletries etc).
• We will front payment asking them to repay the amount spent (on receipt) via online, text to give, or cash on delivery.
• If you can help with this, please contact pastor@angeleschurch.com
2. Wellness packages for neighbors. Consider leaving a “wellness” package at your neighbor’s door with a few necessary items (hand sanitizer, a roll or two of toilet paper, a couple of bottles of water).
With the basket leave a personal note saying, “It isn’t much but we hope this is helpful. We just wanted to remind you that you’re not alone in this time. Here is my phone number _________, please call me if you have a need that you would like for us to pray with you about during this time. Sincerely, ______________ , your neighbor. Address: ________________________________.”
Outside of these church organized efforts above, our true response to this in terms of our community impact must be far more. God is revealing to us through this desperate time the FACT that the attractional model for revival is NOT the key to the needs of endtime harvest.
LIVE
1. Prayer: Our corporate prayer is being moved to a call-in prayer meeting, every morning at 7:30am on Monday mornings
Call in: (617) 829-6215
2. Fasting: Our corporate fast day is Monday. We encourage everyone to fast together for a common purpose. Whether you fast all day, or you fast a couple meals, remember it is not about the amount, but the activation.
3. Bible Reading: We encourage daily bible devotion. You can download the Bible app via YouVersion on all smartphones, tablets, and computers. There are great bible reading plans available to follow on that app.
3. Finance
• Giving: Remember, if you are receiving a paycheck, please remain faithful in giving. God still blesses in calamity – in fact, we are hearing from several people that are faithful givers how that their jobs, at least for now, are preserved when others around them on their jobs have already been laid off! Our offering declaration says, “I am a tither.” The blessings that we recite in that declaration are all a result of faithfulness.
Here are options for giving online:
• Online angeleschurch.com/give
• Text to “GIVE” at (209) 207-0635
• Church Family Assistance: If our church families are struggling with necessities, especially food, contact the church and we will help to provide necessities. We will get through this TOGETHER!
Further, please be sure to stay aware of the news as it pertains to financial assistance. This will help keep you from panicking!
The following is from a trusted financial source called ACORNS Investments and will hopefully offer some peace of mind:
1. The Senate proposes sending $1,200 to each American adult
• The White House and Congress are continuing to work through the details of a sizable stimulus package for the U.S. economy. There are three relief bills
involved. Here is more information on the stimulus package.
https://grow.acorns.com/government-assistance-during-coronavirus/
• The first bill, signed by President Trump earlier this month, focuses on funding for vaccines and support for states and individuals battling the pandemic.
• This week, the Senate approved the second relief bill. It increases access to paid sick leave, unemployment benefits, and food assistance. The bill also calls for free coronavirus testing if ordered by a doctor.
• On Thursday evening, the Senate released a proposal on the third bill, which at a minimum would send $1,200 per American tax paying adult as part of a $1 trillion economic stimulus plan.
• The proposal also includes $300 billion for loans to small businesses and private organizations.
• Finally, all foreclosures and evictions, as well as electric and water disconnections, have been ordered to be discontinued until after the restrictions have lifted. We are going to be ok!
2. Markets were less volatile Thursday
• The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average, the two major gauges for the U.S. stock market, were up about 0.5% and 1% respectively, as of Thursday evening.
• To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, The New York Stock Exchange will
temporarily shift to electronic trading beginning March 23.
3. If you’re concerned about work, consider these resources
• The U.S. government has expanded unemployment insurance qualifications for those affected by coronavirus. Please check both state and federal sites for more information.

LEAD
Use what you have! We encourage all members to record a devotion / bible study, and post live to your personal social network, or prerecord and upload and share with everyone in their network, on a weekly basis. Do this regardless of where you are at in your discipleship journey. You don’t have to be a pastor or a licensed minister, to minister! Speak up. Be the church!
Sharing is Caring! Share the info and links for our Live Services!
BE the CHURCH! Remember, the first church in the book of Acts did not have church buildings nor did they gather frequently in large gatherings. If the first church could explode in numeric growth then we can also! Indeed, even more so, having the incredible tool of technology.
We have been praying for God to make this a record year of numeric growth in new births and in seeing miracles, signs and wonders. “This will be our finest hour!” This may very well be a tremendous part of the answer to those prayers. We are going to see the miraculous hand of God at work.
God bless you and keep you.
